Ascending to over 14,000 feet above sea level, the mountain is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous United States. The park's beautiful landscape features five major rivers and an abundance of meadows brimming with sub alpine wildflowers. Mount Rainier's lower slopes are covered in ancient forest.
